We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer / Production Support Analyst to join our team in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, SQL, and Unix/Linux environments, with hands‑on experience in application support, incident management, troubleshooting, and production stability. The role requires close collaboration with development teams, business stakeholders, and operations teams to ensure optimal application performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with team members to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
  • Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends through code debugging and log analysis.
  • Manage production incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Improve application stability and performance by identifying recurring failures and recommending permanent fixes.
  • Leverage automation tools and machine learning‑based solutions developed by engineering teams to proactively detect and address production issues.
  • Identify manual processes and alerts that can be automated and collaborate with engineering teams to implement automation solutions.
  • Review and challenge existing application processes and recommend improvements to enhance system stability and efficiency.
  • Participate actively in Change Management processes to minimize production risks.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks to improve support efficiency and reduce operational errors.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that provide trending statistics related to application health, incident management, and support performance.
  • Learn, troubleshoot, and support proprietary technologies as required. Prior experience with proprietary tools is not mandatory.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, Software Development, or a related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of Data Structures and Computer Science fundamentals.
  • Experience in troubleshooting production issues, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on experience with:
  • Java
  • SQL
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with in the Financial Services or Banking industry.
  • Exposure to Big Data and Distributed Computing technologies such as:
  • Hadoop
  • Spark
  • HDFS
  • Public Cloud Platforms
  • Degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with automation, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives.
Required Experience
  • 4–6 years of hands‑on experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
  • Experience working in incident management, production support, application monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
