Microsoft 365 Engineer

THIS IS A 6-month CONTRACT to HIRE role. Role REQUIRES reporting to an office in Dallas every Monday, Tuesday, and every other Friday.

Our client is seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to manage and evolve a complex Microsoft 365 environment supporting a portfolio of independent firms affiliated with our client. This role is part of a managed IT service model delivering full-service support to businesses operating within a multi-tenant structure.

You will play a critical role in administering, optimizing, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 infrastructure across a Multi‑Tenant Organization (MTO), while partnering closely with IT Operations and driving continuous platform improvements.

• Serve as a Global Administrator for the Microsoft 365 platform, supporting:
• Exchange Online
• Purview
• Microsoft Teams
• One Drive for Business
• SharePoint Online
• Administer and optimize a Multi‑Tenant Organization (MTO) environment, including:
• Cross‑tenant collaboration
• Identity synchronization
• Governance across tenants
• Manage endpoint provisioning and lifecycle using:
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across the Microsoft ecosystem using:
• Power Shell
• Microsoft Graph
• Purview
• Partner with IT Operations teams to support project delivery and technical initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve user access and cloud service issues

• Drive platform enhancements through structured change management processes
• Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledgebase resources

• 5+ years of overall IT experience
• 3+ years of hands‑on Microsoft 365 administration with Global Administrator scope
• Strong experience across:
• Exchange Online
• Purview
• Teams
• Share Point
• One Drive
• Proven experience managing multiple Microsoft 365 tenants in:
• MSP
• Multi‑firm

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365‑native environments
  , including:
• Entra‑joined endpoints
• Experience working in multi‑tenant or cross‑tenant environments
  , including:
• Identity synchronization at scale
• Experience supporting segmented tenant architectures
  , leveraging:
• Administrative Units
• Scope Tags
• Address Book Policies
• Security Groups
• Strong knowledge of messaging infrastructure and mail flow

• Gateway integrations (e.g., Proofpoint)
