IBM MQ Architect

Akkodis is seeking an IBM MQ Architect for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will design designs and manage IBM MQ architecture and administration, ensuring reliable message queuing and system integration across enterprise environments.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

IBM MQ Architect Job Responsibilities include:

• Administer and manage IBM MQ environments on Linux, ensuring high availability and performance of messaging systems.
• Configure and maintain point-to-point messaging setups and act as the primary point of contact for MQ-related activities.
• Plan and execute IBM MQ migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities independently.
• Monitor MQ systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution to maintain service reliability.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to support integration, enhancements, and operational requirements.
• Support AWS-hosted MQ environments and ensure seamless communication across distributed systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IBM MQ administration and messaging systems.
• Strong expertise in IBM MQ (Linux) including point-to-point configurations, migrations, and administration of enterprise messaging environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS-hosted MQ setups and ability to coordinate with stakeholders and vendors for end-to-end MQ operations and troubleshooting.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
