AI Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Data One Systems is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to help streamline and scale business operations through automation, AI, and process improvement. This role will work closely with leadership and business teams to identify inefficiencies, document workflows, implement automation solutions, and train employees on AI‑enabled tools. This is a hands‑on role focused on improving how work gets done across the organization while creating scalable processes that support future growth.

• Analyze and document business processes across Operations, HR, Payroll, Finance, Recruiting, and Administrative functions.
• Design and implement automations using Workday, Office 365, Odoo Payroll, and n8n.
• Build integrations using APIs and scripting (Python, Power Shell, or JavaScript) when required.
• Deploy and support AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to improve productivity, reporting, document processing, and workflow efficiency.
• Create SOPs, process maps, training materials, and AI usage guides.
• Partner with department leaders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Train employees on new workflows, automations, and AI tools.
• Monitor adoption, measure results, and continuously improve solutions.

• 2–5 years of experience in automation engineering, systems integration, process improvement, or a related field.
• Experience working with Workday and system integrations.
• Experience with n8n, Power Automate, or similar automation platforms.
• Proficiency with APIs and scripting using Python, Power Shell, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AI tools and business applications of ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies.
• Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work directly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Preferred:
  Experience supporting finance, payroll, HR, or operational workflows.
• Preferred:
  Experience scaling business processes through automation.
• Preferred:
  Understanding of data governance, controls, and process documentation.

• Key business workflows documented and prioritized within the first 90 days.
• High‑impact manual processes automated and improved.
• Employees successfully trained on AI and automation tools.
• Measurable improvements in efficiency, consistency, and operational throughput.
• A scalable automation framework established to support Data One's continued growth.
