REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years of technical business analyst experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field
• Strong SQL skills for querying and data analysis
• Understanding of core data warehouse concepts and logical data modeling- will not be building design or data pipelines but must understand how to talk about it
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on data pipeline design
• Familiarity with Azure services (ADF, Azure SQL, Databricks preferred but not required)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• MUST have some financial experience- specifically with Real Estate or Mortgages, Lending, credit etc...

Technical Business Analyst

This role is the functional counterpart to the Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into clear specs for data engineers and reporting teams
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and data analysis needs
• Understand data modeling and how is relates to business. will not be building data pipelines but must have an understanding of how it works.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure pipeline and ETL designs meet functional needs
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and support decision-making
• Contribute to Azure-based projects involving ADF, Azure SQL Server, and Databricks
• Maintain documentation for requirements, workflows, and data models
• Apply knowledge of financial data structures and reporting standards (if applicable)
