Job DescriptionThe Enterprise Data Modeler is responsible for drafting and managing critical data structures for current and future needs. This position provides technical direction, design, development, implementation and configuration of all reporting, dashboard, data analytics and business intelligence offerings.
Responsibilities- You will gather business requirements, and translate them into logical and physical data models, and create technical design specifications.
- You will conduct discussions with internal business partners to understand and document the scope and business requirements.
- You will oversee the on‑going administration of several data warehouse/data mart technology environments.
- You will own and manage enterprise data model for enterprise data assets.
- You will design efficient, flexible and scalable data models to help facilitate business needs.
- You will provide consulting to partner teams in areas of data structure and data use best practices.
- Highly developed SQL skills and deep data management experience.
- Expertise in designing solutions for structured and unstructured data (JSON, XML) and working knowledge of data streaming platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of applying data architecture patterns, including creating OLTP (normalized) and EDW (dimensional) models based on business and technical requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of database and data programming languages, including relational, dimensional and "big data" database concepts.
- Advanced knowledge in developing data models compliant with non‑functional enterprise requirements.
- Demonstrable experience with data modelling tools (e.g. Power Designer, Erwin).
- Understanding of different database platforms (e.g. Oracle, Postgresql, No
SQL, Databricks). - Well‑developed oral and written communication skills to effectively represent self and BOKF, as well as ability to present complex information and issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent conceptual thinking and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex problems that include interrelationships and dependencies in order to identify common themes and solutions.
- Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, end to end data flow, integration and data modeling.
