Job PurposeThe SVP of IT is an executive-level leader responsible for all aspects of the IT department and setting the strategic direction of One Share Health’s technology architecture that supports daily operations and maintains up-to-date technological systems. These areas include but are not limited to operational cloud services; software engineering; user applications; network and systems infrastructure; cyber security and privacy; technology risk management and continuity;
technical support; and vendor management.
Responsibilities Main Activities
- Develop an IT vision, strategy and road map that supports overall company goals and objectives and lead the IT team and its business partners in effective execution.
- Participate in the development of, and maintain strong adherence to, an IT budget.
- Hire, replace, and organize IT personnel to effectively and reliably meet responsibilities and support the needs of the company.
- Implement recurring and standardized practices and processes for common and routine technology operations and functions.
- Assemble, empower, and take responsibility for personnel and task forces to accomplish technology-dependent projects.
- Ensure that IT systems and processes are simple, transparent, accountable, and robust.
- Implement and monitor practices and processes to ensure the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of company and member data.
- Direct the execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Main Activities
- Build strong relationships with leaders across the company and develop a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges and opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of performance, including a high level of IT service across all systems, and support collaboration with colleagues across the organization.
- Provide guidance and advocacy regarding prioritization of IT investments and efforts.
- Work with and provide technical guidance to cross-departmental groups to identify unmet needs and resolve problems with information and technical resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a successful IT leader.
- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, Salesforce, and other relevant cloud software.
- Experience in JavaScript, Type Script, or similar programming languages.
- Experience working with REST APIs and other real-world technology integrations.
- In-depth understanding of the healthcare industry preferred.
- Experience to create a clear strategic vision for IT that is integrated and supports company objectives, ability to successfully execute on that vision, to flex into tactical approaches, and to be involved hands‑on.
- Senior leadership experience to skillfully manage, motivate, develop, direct, and persuade others within a fast‑paced, dynamic, and complex environment.
- Strong business and financial acumen, executive leadership presence, ability to interact at all levels of management, and an effective and credible communication style.
- Strong member service focus and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Flexible and agile project management experience.
- Information security certifications or relevant experience.
- Some evenings, weekends, and overtime work should be expected.
- Travel approximately 3-4 days per month should be expected.
