Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing Education business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice, working closely with Education Technology companies. Your broad responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific projects, defining and designing architectures, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies, and serving as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

As a Solutions Architect on our team, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the EdTech markets for cloud computing working with a world class sales and business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry.

The EdTech Solution Architecture team mission is to be the best technology enabler for EdTech ISVs and to help them achieve their goals by guiding them through business and technology strategy and the use of AWS services. • 8+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience
• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
