Position Summary:

The Director of Technology – Supply Chain is responsible for leading the technology platforms that power omnichannel fulfillment, including the ongoing stability of critical legacy applications and the implementation and optimization of a modern SaaS-based Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role is central to enabling reliable store, e‑commerce, and wholesale fulfillment, peak‑season readiness, and scalable growth. The Director will lead global teams, develop strong technical and people leaders, partner closely with business and technology stakeholders, and bring a passion for modern technologies – including AI and automation – to continuously improve speed, accuracy, and customer experience.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Technology Strategy – Own the technology strategy and roadmap for warehouse and fulfillment systems supporting stores, e‑commerce, omnichannel, returns, and wholesale. Balance legacy system stability with progressive modernization to support evolving business models. Ensure technology solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with customer experience and brand expectations.
  • Legacy Application Leadership – Provide strong governance and operational leadership for legacy warehouse and logistics applications that remain critical to operations. Drive system reliability during peak periods (e.g., holidays, promotions, back‑to‑school), ensuring minimal downtime and a strong incident response. Manage technical debt strategically, with clear plans for enhancement, coexistence, or retirement.
  • SaaS WMS Implementation & Optimization – Lead large‑scale SaaS WMS implementations across distribution centers and fulfillment nodes. Partner with Operations to align system configuration with workflows such as wave optimization, inventory accuracy, store replenishment, and reverse logistics. Oversee post‑go‑live stabilization, user adoption, and continuous improvement to maximize ROI.
  • People & Talent Leadership – Build and lead high‑performing global technology teams supporting supply chain systems. Demonstrate proven success in talent management, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Create clear career progression and development paths, encouraging continuous learning and technical growth. Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and customer‑centric thinking.
  • Financial Stewardship – Own and manage budgets for supply chain technologies, including SaaS subscriptions, vendors, and internal labor. Apply strong financial acumen in business case development, cost optimization, and vendor negotiations. Ensure technology investments deliver measurable value to operations and the customer experience.
  • Innovation & Emerging Technology – Champion the use of modern technology, including AI‑enabled tools, analytics, and automation to improve forecasting, throughput, labor efficiency, and system reliability. Stay abreast of supply chain technology trends, translating innovation into practical, scalable solutions. Encourage experimentation and continuous improvement while maintaining operational discipline.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Act as a trusted partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Digital, Finance, and Enterprise Technology leaders. Communicate complex technical topics clearly to non‑technical stakeholders. Influence decisions through data, business insight, and a customer‑focused mindset.
Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience in Supply Chain, including management of enterprise‑scale applications.
  • Demonstrated success leading global, distributed teams.
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting Supply Chain applications (Tier‑1 WMS, Transportation, Labor, and Vendor Management).
  • Strong background managing legacy systems alongside modernization initiatives.
  • Solid financial acumen with hands‑on experience managing budgets, vendors, and contracts.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with practical application of emerging tools such as AI, automation, and analytics.
Leadership Attributes
