IT Field Technician Position Summary

An opportunity is available for a skilled and reliable IT Field Technician to support end users across office locations. This role is focused on delivering responsive, hands‑on technical support, resolving day‑to‑day IT issues, and ensuring all workplace technology operates efficiently and effectively.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support for end‑user devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve a wide range of hardware, software, and network‑related issues
  • Set up, configure, and maintain user workstations and office technology tools
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues such as Wi‑Fi, VPN access, and local network problems
  • Support hardware rollouts, upgrades, replacements, and system refresh initiatives
  • Maintain accurate tracking of IT assets and assist with inventory management
  • Manage incoming support requests through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution

    Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment set‑up and access provisioning
  • Record detailed documentation of incidents, solutions, and technical procedures
Required Experience & Skills
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or field technician roles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows operating systems and standard business applications
  • Experience installing and supporting hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
  • Experience working with IT ticketing or service desk platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused approach
Background
  • Experience in enterprise or multi‑location IT environments
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 / Office 365 support
  • Experience with workstation imaging, deployment, and configuration
  • Familiarity with Active Directory or similar /access management systems
Additional Plus Factors
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certification
  • Experience supporting remote users or distributed teams
