Mainframe Automation Engineer
Mainframe Automation Engineer Required Technical Skill Set
- z/os maintenance, DB2, CICS & MF MQ
- REXX Must Have
- 1. Strong knowledge in mainframe hardware, operation & z/os maintenance, DB2, CICS & MF MQ
- 2. Understanding in mainframe SMPE, dysprosium testing
- 3. Automation knowledge
- Rexx programming - 4. Connectivity test from MF - Rexx programming + socket calls.
- 5. Responsible to understand the current IVPs/ logs files to determine/ provide feedback to the mainframe on any additional ways to validate the MF changes/ upgrade
- 6. Work with MF team to coordinate with the app dev and the corresponding ETE functional test teams to have them run their regression test for the MF changes / upgrades.
Responsibility / Expectations from the Role
- 1. Interact with client team and guide them on best practices.
- 2. Develop automation framework for Testing Mainframe Infrastructure components.
- 3. Identify new areas where automation can be implemented to enable value add.
