Optomi, in partnership with a leading client is seeking an experienced Sr. Network Architect for their Plano, TX location on a hybrid schedule (tues / thurs in office). The right candidate will have some type of wireless experience, LAN (SDA and ACI) experience, and Cisco ISE.
Responsibilities:- Define enterprise network architecture, design standards, and governance across LAN, WAN, wireless, security, and cloud-connected environments.
- Assess current network infrastructure, identify improvement opportunities, and develop modernization roadmaps.
- Lead RFP development, evaluate vendor solutions, and present recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering, operations, business teams, and external vendors to design and implement enterprise network solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance for complex network issues, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation strategies.
- Drive adoption of network automation, AI-enabled tools, and analytics to improve operational efficiency.
- Support technologies including Cisco ACI, Cisco SDA, enterprise routing & switching, MPLS, Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), enterprise wireless, DAS, and private cellular solutions.
- 10+ years of enterprise network engineering and/or network architecture experience.
- Strong expertise across LAN, WAN, wireless, network security, and enterprise networking technologies.
- Proven ability to develop scalable network architectures and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience leading RFPs, evaluating vendor proposals, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Experience working with external vendors and managing technology partnerships.
- Preferred experience in large enterprise or manufacturing environments, network transformation initiatives, and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Cisco Thousand Eyes.
- CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
