AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join the infrastructure operations team. The role requires independent work in a dynamic environment to maintain stability and scalability of next‑generation networks, support several data center locations, and help automate and scale the network. You will collaborate closely with internal customers and external vendors, manage capacity, and assist with project execution directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Traveling within and outside the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are necessary; company transportation will not be provided.
Day in the Life- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Operate in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Safely ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
- Work in cramped or elevated spaces while following health and safety guidelines.
- Effectively manage customer relationships during problem resolution and under pressure.
- Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices.
- Work in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
- Industry standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+) or relevant education.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test‑net connection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, and packet capture tools).
- Knowledge of HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.
The base salary range for this position is USD 30.00‑54.00 per hour, varying by location.
