Nation's Best Holdings is looking for a Part-Time IT Support Specialist to join our IT team at our Dallas Support Center in Addison, Texas.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands‑on IT experience in a fast‑paced business environment. While this position is designed with students and emerging IT professionals in mind, current enrollment in school is not required. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and delivering excellent customer service.
As a member of our IT team, you’ll help support more than 60 retail locations across the country, working alongside experienced technology professionals while gaining exposure to networking, hardware deployment, user support, inventory management, and enterprise technology.
What You'll Do- Respond to basic help‑desk tickets and technology support requests
- Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices
- Assist with the deployment, setup, and configuration of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Support VoIP phone systems, cellular devices, and RF scanners
- Image and prepare computers for new associates
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and equipment records
- Assist with technology upgrades and special IT projects
- Document solutions and maintain technical documentation
- Provide outstanding customer service while communicating effectively with users across the organization
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Previous experience in a help desk, technical support, retail technology, or customer service role (plus)
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware
- Familiarity with Microsoft
365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies
- Dependable, self‑motivated, and customer‑focused
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the IT team
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout an office environment
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Flexible schedule during normal business hours
