The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our Shared Delivery Team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will manage a team of Delivery Consultants while supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects. You will leverage your IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams.

As a DPM you will build and manage a high‑performing team, engage with Director‑level executives and governing boards, capture opportunities, and drive engagement delivery. You will collaborate with partner teams, drive business development, provide portfolio guidance, and meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets. You will focus on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying appropriate AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and SOWs.

You will lead teams that optimize performance through tailored people development plans, align to customer needs, and ensure the required skills and capacity to achieve desired outcomes. Your ability to translate technical concepts into business value and to communicate in technical depth will help cultivate strong customer, Amazon Global Sales (AGS), and Pro Serve team relationships that enable exceptional business performance.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide guidance through global specialty practices across a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a high‑performing team of Delivery Consultants.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Consultants, Engagement Managers, Account Executives, and Cloud Architects to deploy solutions and provide input on new features.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of innovative, forward‑looking IT strategies for customers.
  • Manage practice P&L, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget delivery of customer engagements.
  • Drive business development initiatives and exceed customer satisfaction targets.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of cloud‑based solution (AWS or equivalent), systems, network and operating system experience.
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer‑facing, complex and large‑scale project management experience.
  • 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in advanced technology or AWS Professional level certification.
  • Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning and serverless technologies.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is USD  to  annually for the following locations:
Dallas, TX;
Arlington, VA;
Herndon, VA. Your total compensation will include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and performance‑based bonuses as appropriate.
