Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site daily during initial training, then 3 days on-site/week)
About the RoleWe are seeking a strategic and dynamic Portfolio Lead to join our Dallas-based corporate team on an 8‑month contract. In this critical role, you’ll manage a diverse collection of programs and projects—ensuring strategic alignment, maximizing resource use, and delivering measurable business value. You will be a trusted partner to executive leadership, providing transparency into portfolio performance and shaping the future impact of our enterprise initiatives.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Maintain and prioritize the portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.
- Develop, monitor, and manage program and portfolio roadmaps for maximum value sequencing.
- Evaluate investment proposals, balancing demand with available resources/capacity.
- Oversee risks, dependencies, and outcomes at a program/portfolio level.
- Deliver executive-level reporting and insights on portfolio health, ROI, and progress.
- Ensure governance, financial stewardship, and compliance across the portfolio.
- Partner with delivery teams to resolve escalations and remove barriers to success.
- Establish and chair steering committees in support of strategic decision‑making.
- Manage annual IT portfolio budgets ranging from $250K to $10M.
- Collaborate with Finance on capital planning, forecasting, and governance processes.
- Monitor and report on KPIs including cost, schedule, benefit realization, and overall portfolio health.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and security standards.
- IT Business Partners: Collaborate to align investments and drive business outcomes.
- Executive Sponsors & Business Leaders: Confirm value delivery and support strategic initiatives.
- Project Managers: Oversee execution and manage cross‑project dependencies.
- Finance & Procurement: Ensure budget discipline, investment approvals, and governance adherence.
- Enterprise Architects: Align technology and business capabilities.
- Proven experience in portfolio and program planning, prioritization, and governance.
- Strong strategic acumen—able to support decision making and value delivery.
- Deep expertise in benefits realization, risk/dependency management, and financial oversight.
- Excellent executive presence, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results in complex, fast‑paced environments.
