Senior Technical Business Analyst (IBM Data Stage & Oracle PL/SQL)

Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst for their Dallas, TX/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as a senior business analyst within a hybrid work model, transforming complex business requirements into robust data and application solutions while collaborating closely with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Applying deep expertise in Oracle PLSQL and IBM Infosphere Data Stage to design, validate and optimize data driven capabilities that support strategic decision making and deliver measurable value to clients and society.
• Analyzing complex business processes and requirements to define clear functional specifications that can be implemented using Oracle PLSQL and IBM Infosphere Datastage solutions.
• Collaborating with product owners and cross functional teams to refine user stories and acceptance criteria that accurately reflect business priorities and value.
• Translating stakeholder needs into detailed data mapping and transformation rules that guide efficient development in Oracle PLSQL and IBM Infosphere Datastage.
• Partnering with data engineers to design scalable data workflows that enhance data quality, availability and consistency for downstream analytics and reporting.
• Reviewing and validating database objects such as procedures and packages developed in Oracle PLSQL to ensure alignment with business logic and performance expectations.
• Designing and executing comprehensive test scenarios for data integration and application features ensuring that defects are identified early and resolved efficiently.
• Documenting end to end business processes data flows and system interactions in a clear and traceable manner so that teams can maintain and enhance solutions with confidence.
• Conducting structured gap analyses between existing systems and proposed solutions to recommend enhancements that improve customer and user outcomes.
• Providing analytical insights using structured data and business metrics to support decision making and to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
• Coordinating with operations and support teams to ensure smooth deployment of new releases while minimizing disruption and maintaining high service quality in a hybrid work setting.
• Preparing training materials and conducting knowledge sharing sessions to help stakeholders understand new features data models and process changes that impact their daily activities.
• Monitoring production data jobs and key performance indicators to proactively identify issues and work with technical teams to implement corrective actions that protect business continuity.
• Aligning daily work with the organization purpose by focusing on data solutions that improve transparency efficiency and reliability for clients and communities.

Requirements include:

• Experience:
  
  7 to 9 years
• IBM Infosphere Datastage, Oracle PL/SQL
• We are looking for a techno functional profile, strong in Data Stage, PL/SQL, Unix
• Possess a degree in information technology computer science engineering business management or a related field that provides a strong foundation in both technology and business analysis
• Demonstrate seven to nine years of focused experience as a business analyst working on data driven projects within large enterprise environments
• Show advanced proficiency in Oracle PLSQL including writing complex queries optimizing database performance and supporting data centric applications
• Exhibit hands on experience with IBM Infosphere Datastage in designing implementing and maintaining extract transform and load processes for large scale data environments
• Display strong analytical and problem solving abilities with a consistent record of converting ambiguous requirements into precise and implementable specifications
• Apply knowledge of agile or iterative delivery practices to support incremental delivery of value while working collaboratively in a hybrid work model during regular day shifts
