Job DescriptionThe Technology Counsel role is part of Bain's Legal group, focusing on technology-related contracts and advising on AI initiatives. This position supports Bain's global operations by providing legal guidance on technology matters, digital product development, and strategic partnerships. The Counsel will work closely with experienced lawyers and IT professionals to ensure compliance and risk management in technology engagements. The role is based in either Boston or Dallas and reports to the Assistant General Counsel.
Requirements- Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years of experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating IT/tech contracts.
- Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of IT and IP law, with significant experience in AI and technology.
- Business fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Counsel on legal issues related to outsourcing, consulting, licensing, and software development.
- Advise on inbound and outbound licensing and commercial issues.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to address technology issues in contracts and engagement processes.
- Advise on AI initiatives, including the development and regulation of AI tools.
- Conduct due diligence on licensing and technology matters for new digital products and strategic partnerships.
