DescriptionThe IT Support Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of our hybrid IT environment. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with a solid IT foundation who is eager to gain hands‑on experience in a complex, healthcare‑focused setting. You will work under the guidance of senior administrators to support our cloud systems, proprietary applications, and end‑users, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA, GDPR, and other data protection regulations governing PHI and PII.
Objectivesof this role
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
- Handle business‑critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace
- Enable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insights
- Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or system administration role.
- Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with a major cloud provider (AWS or Azure).
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux server operating systems.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent problem‑solving skills.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data security and confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner).
- Prior experience in a healthcare or other highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell, Bash, Python) for task automation.
- Experience with SaaS application administration and support.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and experience with a ticketing system like Jira Service Management or Fresh service.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune and/or Kandji
