Hybrid 2-3 days onsite to start, then 1 day onsite

Our client is seeking a hands‑on Data Engineering Manager to lead the evolution of its enterprise data platform. This role combines technical leadership, architecture ownership, and team management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building modern data solutions while mentoring engineers and driving strategic direction.

• Own the data engineering roadmap, architecture standards, and platform best practices.
• Lead a team of onsite and offshore data engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and delivery oversight.
• Design, build, and optimize data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Power BI.
• Drive the migration from a legacy Azure data environment to a modern Microsoft Fabric‑based architecture.
• Establish scalable patterns for data ingestion, transformation, governance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Partner with business stakeholders across Finance and Operations to deliver reliable, high‑impact data solutions
• Support architecture reviews, platform governance, and long‑term modernization initiatives.

• 8+ years of data engineering experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and enterprise‑scale data architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Proven experience leading data engineering teams, including distributed or offshore resources.
• Ability to define engineering standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps.
• Strong documentation, knowledge‑sharing, and operational excellence mindset.

• Microsoft Fabric implementation or certification experience.
• Background leading cloud modernization or data platform transformation initiatives.
