We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator specializing in Linux Administration to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to system management and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:- Administer and maintain Linux based server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to safeguard critical data.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and patch management.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support application deployments and system integrations.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Skills:
- Proven experience in Linux Administration, with a strong understanding of various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
- Solid knowledge of server hardware, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system management.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 7 years of relevant experience in system administration, with a focus on Linux environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, LPIC) are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
The pay range for this role is $120,000- $125,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay and $65-$67 Corp-Corp.
