About the role
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for implementing, automating, and evolving cloud infrastructure and services across company projects, in accordance with customer specifications and current requirements. This role partners with Product Management and Engineering to define requirements and high-level design, builds automation and delivery pipelines, and contributes to the architecture and technical direction that supports increased scale, reliability, and security.
What you'll do- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP in line with customer requirements.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define requirements and high-level design for cloud-based systems.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to automate provisioning and deployment.
- Develop scripts and tooling to automate operational and Dev Ops workflows.
- Monitor cloud environments for availability, performance, and cost, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Support the design and evolution of cloud architecture to improve scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with technical teams on demand management and development resource allocation.
- Document cloud infrastructure, pipelines, and architecture decisions for team and stakeholder reference.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1+ year of IT technical experience, with exposure to cloud infrastructure or automation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust or Security Clearance.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Pulumi.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, such as Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or Azure Dev Ops.
- Proficiency scripting in Python, Bash, or Power Shell to automate cloud operations.
- Exposure to cloud cost optimization and Fin Ops practices.
- Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator/Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
Salary Range: $70,000–$155,000 based on experience and qualifications
