Select Minds LLC is looking for a talented Network Security Engineer to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network security architectures, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents and threats in real time
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis across network infrastructure
• Configure and manage VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and zero-trust network policies
• Collaborate with IT and Dev Ops teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and incident response procedures
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in network security engineering or a related cybersecurity role
• Proficiency with firewalls, SIEM tools, and network monitoring platforms (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Splunk)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and network protocols
• Experience with cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Compensation: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
