DevOps ​/ Automation Platform Engineer

As our Workplace platforms continue to scale and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) becomes critical to how we deliver change, we are looking for a Dev Ops / Automation Platform Engineer to help take our automation and delivery practices into the future. This role focuses on building, maturing, and teaching Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices across GTO, enabling Workplace engineering teams to manage endpoints and collaboration platforms reliably, safely, and  ideal candidate brings strong development skills, practical systems/platform experience, and a passion for standardization and automation-first engineering.

This Hybrid Role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) is based in:
Wayne, PA, Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX or Charlotte, NC.

• Build and mature Infrastructure as Code practices across Workplace platforms using Terraform and Atmos, enabling teams to manage systems “as code.”
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines(primarily Git Hub Actions) aligned to GTO standards, including quality gates, promotion patterns, and deployment safety mechanisms.
• Identify, evaluate, and operationalize Terraform providers and integrations for Workplace platforms; guide teams on provider usage, patterns, and lifecycle management.
• Onboard platform teams to Terraform/Atmos and Git Hub-based delivery, including repository structure, workflow templates, environment strategy, and guardrails.
• Create shared automation frameworks and self-service toolingto reduce manual operational work and improve delivery speed and consistency.
• Develop integrations and automation services using APIs and scripting (Power Shell/Python) across endpoint, mobility, VDI, and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• Improve release quality and platform stabilitythrough automated validation, testing patterns, observability, and disciplined release governance.
• Partner closely with platform engineers, security, infrastructure, and networking teamsto embed automation-first practices and standard engineering patterns.
• This role is also expected to challenge the status quo, drive process improvements, and champion a strong Dev Ops and engineering culture across Workplace Engineering.

• Strong experience withCI/CD pipelines(Git Hub Actions and/or Azure Dev Ops).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code(Terraform, Atmos, or similar frameworks).
• Proficiency in software development
• Experience integrating systems usingREST APIs.
• Solid understanding ofGit-based workflows, code review, and reusable modules/templates.
• Familiarity with monitoring, telemetry, and operational observability concepts.
• Experience supporting enterprise endpoint or collaboration platforms is a plus (Windows, macOS, MDM, VDI, Microsoft 365).

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in Dev Ops, automation, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across teams, influence standards, and enable others through documentation and coaching.
• Willingness to be learn and work with various languages.
• Strong planning, organization, and delivery discipline.
