The Enterprise Workstation Systems Engineer is responsible for endpoint management and automation using Microsoft SCCM and Intune, managing AVD infrastructure, developing performance metrics and reporting, and ensuring a secure, stable, and high performing end user computing experience.
This hybrid position can be based in Atlanta, GA;
Phoenix, AZ;
Denver, CO;
Minneapolis, MN;
Washington, DC;
Miami and Orlando, FL;
Kansas City, MO;
Seattle, WA;
Houston, Dallas, and Austin, TX; or Los Angeles, Fresno, Irvine, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Jose, CA, with an onsite expectation of once per month.
Pursuant to California, Colorado, Minnesota, Washington, and Washington, DC regulation, the salary range for this position is $114,000 to $150,900 annually and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. - Responsible for ensuring stable and optimally performing physical and virtual workstation, desktop, and mobile environments.
- Responsible for supporting software and hardware release processes and quality assurance for physical and virtual workstation, desktop, and mobile environments.
- Responsible for providing Level 3 operational support to the physical and virtual workstation, Desktop, Citrix, and Mobile platforms.
- Responsible for supporting the implementation of new workstation, desktop, and mobile technologies.
- Responsible for installing and configuring Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) technologies including host pools, AVD images, scaling and FSLogix.
- Responsible for analyzing system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions for AVD based production configuration.
- Responsible for the administration of desktop and mobile device management platforms.
- Responsible for engineering, deploying, configuring, and managing endpoints using Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
- Responsible for developing reports to track key workstation, desktop, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), mobile, and AVD metrics and KPIs.
- Responsible for scripting and automation supporting physical and virtual workstation, desktop, and mobile platforms.
- Responsible for testing Windows workstation and iOS mobile releases to recommend optimum configuration.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and Microsoft Intune for endpoint deployment and device management.
- In-depth experience providing operational support of physical and virtual workstation, desktop, and mobile devices.
- Demonstrated experience with user support.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), MSIX and FSLogix.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure virtual machine golden image (for AVD) creation, maintenance and workflows.
- Advanced experience with Windows and iOS workstation, desktop, and mobile software and hardware.
- Experience supporting release management.
- Demonstrated experience with mobile device management.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and Microsoft Intune for endpoint deployment and device management.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft stack including:
Office, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, scripting and automation. - Advanced experience with Windows workstation and desktop user profile management.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or information technology.
Minimum 5+ years related experience.
