Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design
Design end-to-end Power BI architecture including data ingestion, semantic models, dashboards, and deployment pipelines
Define best practices, standards, and governance for Power BI development across the organization
Architect enterprise semantic models using Power BI datasets, shared models, and Direct Lake / Import / Direct Query modes
Ensure scalable, high-performance BI solutions aligned with business and technical requirements
Power BI Development & Optimization
Lead complex Power BI report and dashboard design for executive and operational analytics
Optimize DAX calculations, data models, and report performance
Implement row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), and data access controls
Drive adoption of Power BI Service features (Apps, Work spaces, Deployment Pipelines, Incremental Refresh)
Technical Skills
8–12+ years in BI / Analytics, with 5+ years in Power BI
Expert-level knowledge of:
Power BI Desktop & Service
DAX (advanced measures, calculation groups, optimization)
Data modeling & performance tuning
Strong experience with Azure data services
Hands-on experience with:
Import, Direct Query, Composite models
Incremental refresh, large datasets
Power BI REST APIs (preferred)
