Role Overview
The SQL Database Administrator (DBA) – Consolidation & Migration is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing database consolidation initiatives across on-premise and cloud environments. The role focuses on reducing database sprawl, improving performance, optimizing infrastructure costs, and ensuring seamless migration of multiple SQL Server instances into consolidated platforms while maintaining data integrity and availability
Core DBA Skills
- SQL Server Administration (2012–2022 / Azure SQL)
- Backup/Restore, HA/DR, replication, clustering
- Performance tuning and query optimization
- Database migration (cross-version, cross-platform, cloud)
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Understanding of consolidation models:
