SAP Datasphere Engineer

Job Description

• Build and manage data loads from BW into Datasphere, monitoring and tuning load performance
• Build delta replication flows from S/4
  
  HANA directly into Datasphere
• Configure Datasphere's direct connection to read data archived in the NLS (Near-Line Storage) database
• Tune Datasphere space/memory allocation and diagnose loading performance issues (including SAC-to-Datasphere data flows)
• Document conversion mappings (source BW object → target Datasphere object) and data lineage
• Partner with internal BI/reporting teams to validate converted reports against legacy BW output
• Identify and remediate performance bottlenecks introduced during or after migration
• Provide knowledge transfer/documentation for long-term internal support

• Experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) in enterprise reporting and analytics environments
• Proven success delivering SAP BW to Datasphere (or BW/4
  
  HANA) migration projects
• Strong working knowledge of SAP Datasphere modeling tools (graphical views, SQL views, data flows, task chains)
• Hands‑on experience integrating SAP S/4
  
  HANA with Datasphere, including delta replication
• Knowledge of NLS-archived data connectivity and SAC data integrations
• Ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues and engage directly with SAP Support/OSS as needed
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable working directly with SAP support/OSS tickets for complex performance issues
• Strong hands‑on SAP BW development experience, including Info Objects, Info Providers, BEx Queries, and Process Chains
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including role and space configuration, connectivity management, and security administration
• Proficiency with SAP Analysis for Office (AO), including building, maintaining, and converting Excel-based reporting solutions
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing connections between Analysis for Office, SAP BW queries, and SAP Datasphere views
• Ability to support reporting modernization efforts by transitioning legacy BW-based reporting solutions to cloud-based SAP analytics platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex reporting, performance, and data connectivity issues
