Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support quality assurance initiatives for mission-critical county applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in QA processes within regulated public sector environments and provide domain-specific guidance across areas such as courts, public safety, health services, and tax/revenue systems. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, QA teams, and project leadership to ensure comprehensive testing, regulatory compliance, and high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the QA domain expert for county and public sector applications.
- Review business requirements and identify potential quality risks.
- Define and validate domain-specific test scenarios and test strategies.
- Ensure adequate test coverage for business-critical workflows.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities.
- Provide guidance on compliance-related testing, including CJIS, HIPAA, and PCI requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
- Review defects, prioritize issues, and ensure alignment with business expectations.
- Maintain QA documentation, test artifacts, and reporting using standard QA tools.
- Participate in release planning and quality reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- 14+ Years Overall Experience
- 8+ years of Quality Assurance experience with strong domain expertise in public sector or regulated environments.
- Experience supporting one or more of the following domains:
- Courts
- Public Safety
- Public Health (Government)
- Tax and Revenue
- Strong experience in requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, and UAT.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards such as CJIS, HIPAA, and PCI.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective test scenarios.
