Position Summary
The SAP SD, and S&OP / IBP Planning Leader is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide sales, planning, and demand/supply matching solutions across SAP S/4
HANA for SD and MM, and other data and point solution platforms for S&OP and IBP.
In this strategic role, you will serve as the bridge between commercial operations and IT, architecting end-to-end solutions that integrate order-to-cash execution with advanced planning capabilities. You will partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, Data and IT leadership, as well as external partners (on-shore and off-shore) to deliver scalable digital solutions that improve service levels, optimize working capital, and enable data-driven decision-making.
WhatYou’ll Get to Do Planning & O2C Solution Design and Implementation
- Lead the design and deployment of SAP SD as well as S&OP solutions, translating complex business requirements and translating them into simple, practical and scalable system architectures focused on business results and adoption.
- Configure core Order-to-Cash capabilities including order management, pricing, billing, logistics execution, and credit management.
- Enable end-to-end planning capabilities across demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP processes.
- Drive full lifecycle implementations, including solution design, integration testing, data orchestration, and deployment.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP S/4
HANA SD and other IBP solutions. - Design and optimize data flows, integration touchpoints, and master data governance across platforms.
- Leverage SAP integration technologies (e.g., CPI-DS, SDI) to enable real-time planning and execution alignment.
- Lead S&OP transformation initiatives toward an integrated, cross-functional IBP framework.
- Enhance commercial excellence by optimizing order-to-cash performance and customer fulfillment capabilities.
- Enable scenario modeling and what-if analysis to support executive decision-making and financial optimization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership, resolving complex functional and technical challenges.
- Drive adoption of SAP and data-first S&OP best practices and clean core principles across implementations.
- Provide oversight to system integrators and third-party partners to ensure quality delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in SAP SD and a variety of S&OP and IBP solutions.
- Proven track record of leading at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations across SD and IBP.
- Deep expertise in:
- S&OP/IBP solutions (Demand, S&OP, Response & Supply)
- SAP SD (Order Management, Pricing, Billing, Credit, STOs)
- Strong experience with SAP integration tools (CPI-DS, SAP Integration Suite).
- Experience in complex manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
