The ideal candidate brings deep security operations experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in the Microsoft security ecosystem, with a proven ability to modernize cyber defense through automation and AI.
Key Responsibilities- Lead enterprise cyber defense, including detection engineering, incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and digital forensics.
- Direct 24x7 security monitoring and incident response across a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Develop and implement AI-enabled security operations, leveraging automation and AI agents to enhance detection, investigation, and response.
- Govern and secure enterprise AI platforms, ensuring compliance with AI governance and data protection standards.
- Drive SIEM/SOAR strategy, security automation, and continuous improvement of detection capabilities.
- Lead major incident response activities and coordinate cross-functional response efforts.
- Partner with technology, legal, compliance, and business leaders to support security strategy and risk management.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing cyber defense team.
- Support regulatory compliance, audits, and security governance initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years leading security operations teams.
- Experience applying AI, machine learning, and automation within security operations.
- Strong knowledge of AI security concepts and frameworks, including securing AI-enabled applications and services.
- Expertise with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Entra , SIEM/SOAR platforms, KQL, Python, and Power Shell.
- Experience supporting large-scale or multi-tenant security operations; regulated industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of data protection, DLP, DSPM, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and related security frameworks.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or GCFA preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
