seeking an AV Manager to oversee audio visual technology, systems, projects, and technical staff across a higher education campus environment. This role will lead AV operations, manage vendors and projects, oversee system design and maintenance, and coordinate support for classrooms, conference rooms, and campus events.
Responsibilities- Oversee classroom and conference room AV technology, including budgeting, purchasing, repairs, upgrades, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Coordinate AV setup and technical support for meetings, presentations, and campus events.
- Manage AV support tickets and projects through Service Now.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate AV technicians and student staff.
- Design and oversee audiovisual systems, quality control, infrastructure planning, and technology upgrades.
- Evaluate AV technologies and make recommendations regarding equipment, vendors, and purchasing.
- Manage vendors and coordinate ordering, receiving, installation, and project schedules.
- Develop short- and long-term AV technology plans and prioritize projects.
- Troubleshoot complex AV issues and provide technical guidance to staff.
- Stay current with AV technology and industry trends.
- Provide occasional after-hours support for scheduled campus events.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 3+ years of AV experience with leadership experience.
- Experience with Crestron, Q-SYS, Dante, Allen & Heath/SQ5, or similar AV technologies.
- Experience with AV system design, infrastructure planning, and technology lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting AV in a higher education, corporate, or event environment.
- Knowledge of audio/video recording and editing and macOS production software.
- Experience supervising, training, or coordinating technical staff.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing technical needs.
- Experience with vendor management, purchasing, and technology installations.
