Within our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice, we prepare professionals to understand how governance structures, controls, risk programs, and compliance requirements function within organizations and how they are implemented, assessed, and sustained.
Role OverviewExcel Mind Cyber Institute is seeking an experienced Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) professional to lead the design, development, and delivery of practical, enterprise-focused training programs.
This role is ideal for a practitioner with hands-on experience in governance, risk management, compliance, audit, or regulatory implementation who can translate real‑world expertise into structured learning experiences.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing industry‑ready professionals by delivering training grounded in operational realities, implementation challenges, and enterprise best practices.
Key Responsibilities Training Design & Delivery- Design and deliver practical GRC training programs aligned with enterprise environments and industry expectations
- Develop structured learning materials including case studies, simulations, practical exercises, and implementation scenarios
- Facilitate live classes, workshops, mentoring sessions, and guided learning experiences
- Create learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application rather than theoretical understanding alone
- Continuously review and enhance training content to reflect evolving frameworks, regulations, threats, and industry practices
- Integrate real implementation scenarios and operational case studies into course delivery
- Develop assessment methods that evaluate practical competency and applied understanding
- Mentor learners through practical implementation challenges and professional development journeys
- Support participants in understanding enterprise governance structures, risk management approaches, compliance programs, and audit expectations
- Provide guidance on translating framework requirements into operational implementation
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Information Security Governance, or Regulatory Programs
- Proven experience implementing, managing, auditing, or assessing frameworks such as:
- ISO/IEC 27001
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
- NIST RMF
- SOC 2
- Other enterprise control frameworks and compliance programs
- Strong understanding of framework implementation within operational and organizational environments
- Experience conducting control assessments, compliance reviews, risk assessments, gap analyses, or audit activities
- Ability to engage across technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate complex requirements into business context
- Strong working experience with GRC platforms, with emphasis on Service Now GRC / Integrated Risk Management (IRM)
- Experience with additional platforms such as RSA Archer, Logic Gate, Metric Stream, or equivalent solutions is advantageous
- Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud governance concepts is beneficial
- Familiarity with regulatory controls, governance workflows, risk registers, control mapping, and compliance lifecycle processes
- Demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex GRC concepts effectively
- Prior experience delivering training, workshops, mentoring, or knowledge transfer initiatives
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Structured thinking with the ability to connect governance principles to operational implementation
