Oracle Architect

Key Responsibilities:
- Are you an experienced Oracle Architect with a passion for designing scalable, secure, and high-performing database platforms? Do you enjoy solving complex data challenges, modernizing legacy systems, and defining enterprise architecture? Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your Oracle expertise in the financial services space? As an architect within the Prime Services domain, you will be part of a diverse and collaborative team, laser-focused on delivering first-class solutions to our customers.
You will work across a wide range of technologies, bringing deep technical experience across Oracle databases, data integration, performance engineering, high availability, and Cloud.
- Working as part of an agile SCRUM team
- Defining scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing Oracle database architecture for mission-critical applications
- Leading database design, modernization, migration, and optimization initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments
- Establishing architecture standards and best practices for data modeling, SQL/PLSQL development, performance, security, and operational resilience
- Designing high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate, and related technologies
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver technology solutions for business needs
- Providing technical leadership for architecture reviews, complex issue resolution, and implementation decisions
- Documenting and sharing architecture decisions, technical solutions, and diagrams
- Designing and implementing solutions that align with the wider Fidelity technology strategy.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
- 16+ years of experience in Oracle database architecture, solution design, performance optimization, high-availability platforms, and enterprise data management within large-scale, mission-critical environments
- Deep expertise in Oracle Database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and performance tuning
- Extensive experience with Oracle Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate, and backup and recovery technologies
- Experience designing and executing complex database migration and modernization programs
- Experience developing database solutions in the cloud, particularly AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Strong understanding of database security, encryption, access controls, auditing, and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of ETL, data integration, and streaming technologies such as Informatica, Snap Logic, and Kafka
- Comfortable working with standard CI/CD tools, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills within complex, distributed deployments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present architecture recommendations to technical and business stakeholders
- Experience in financial services and Oracle certifications are a plus
