This job is essentially an Application Engineering Services (AES) Manager/Lead or Dev Sec Ops & Engineering Governance Consultant role.
The person/team would be responsible for creating and running the central engineering function that governs how applications are built, deployed, secured, monitored, and maintained across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Define and enforce SDLC standards and processes
- Manage application environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod)
- Own CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops tooling
- Establish engineering governance and compliance controls
- Drive vulnerability remediation and non-permitted technology removal
- Implement application monitoring and reliability practices
- Standardize development tools and engineering platforms
- Partner with Security, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Application teams
- Create engineering metrics, scorecards, and reporting

Typically someone with:
- 10+ years in Application Development, Dev Ops, or Engineering Services
- Experience establishing enterprise standards and governance
- Banking or Financial Services experience
- Leading platform engineering, CI/CD, or Dev Sec Ops teams
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and audit requirements
The client wants someone who can build and manage the centralized engineering organization that sets the rules, tools, standards, and processes for all application teams, ensuring applications are developed, deployed, secured, and maintained consistently according to bank standards.
