Senior Manager of Automation - Dallas, Texas

Mission Hires is seeking a Senior Manager of Automation on behalf of a fast-growing online pharmacy company to lead initiatives that streamline technology, improve operational workflows, and reduce defects across the organization. This cross-functional role will identify automation opportunities, design and execute automated quality tests, troubleshoot quality issues, and develop scalable solutions for software, systems, and manufacturing-related processes.

• Identify and prioritize opportunities to automate existing software, service, and business processes.
• Design, develop, and execute automated QA tests and scripts to validate functionality and prevent defects.
• Design and run tests for internal databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware, and software.
• Identify, investigate, and help resolve bugs, defects, and quality issues across development, service, and business workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand workflows and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency and reliability.
• Gather and analyze requirements from clients, customers, and end users to develop effective automation solutions.
• Support the design and implementation of automated systems, including manufacturing-related automation initiatives.
• Apply Agile, cloud, and Dev Ops practices and tools to support automation and quality improvement efforts.
• Work independently to manage priorities, troubleshoot issues, and deliver automation projects with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Process Control, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, cloud technologies, and Dev Ops tools.
• Experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or .NET.
• Strong understanding of computer programming and software development practices.
  
  Experience designing and implementing automated systems, particularly in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or Certified Control System Technician (CCST) certification is preferred.
