We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer with a strong understanding of banking systems and financial services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our banking platforms, implementing automation, and enhancing system stability through proactive monitoring and incident management.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA/Dallas, TX is $105k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
TheRole Responsibilities:
- Develop, automate, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure for banking applications.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security to ensure high availability and swift incident response.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy resilient services and infrastructure.
- Perform root cause analysis on outages and incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Manage capacity planning, disaster recovery, and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Maintain security best practices and compliance standards relevant to the banking industry.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual interventions and improve operational efficiency.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand system requirements and provide timely resolutions to operational issues.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Dev Ops Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of banking systems, payment processing, or financial services preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
- Familiarity with security standards and compliance requirements specific to banking/financial sectors.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Skills:
- Banking or financial domain experience.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, or relevant certifications in security or Dev Ops.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
