Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, AI Engineer (Applied/Software)
We are looking for a talented Senior JIRA Enterprise Engineer that will own our Atlassian platform and a meaningful share of the systems, automations, and integrations that support a global, multi-brand organization. This is not an Atlassian administration role alone. You will own other infrastructure the team manages, act as technical lead on organization-wide projects, and work across identity, collaboration, and endpoint domains.
Our Atlassian footprint is deep and business-critical, and the next chapter is making it the connected core of a modern cloud stack rather than an island. You will own that architecture: designing the integrations that move work between Jira, JSM, Confluence, and the platforms around them, setting the standards for what Atlassian is the system of record for, and applying AI and LLM tooling as a first-class part of how those solutions get built.
This is platform strategy with your hands on the keyboard.
The role is a deliberate balance: roughly half steady-state platform engineering, half project work you drive end to end, often with several work streams running concurrently. Certifications are a plus, but we prioritize demonstrated hands-on delivery over credentials.
What are you being asked to do?- Own our Atlassian Cloud environment end to end, including site and project administration, workflow design, automation, permission schemes, and governance across Jira, JSM, and Confluence
- Design and build integrations connecting Atlassian to the rest of our cloud stack using APIs, webhooks, automation tooling, and AI and LLM tooling
- Set platform strategy across the stack, including system-of-record decisions, and lead the migrations that follow
- Administer and evolve SaaS platforms and shared infrastructure, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jamf, Workspace ONE, and related systems
- Act as technical lead on organization-wide projects, managing concurrent work streams, timelines, and stakeholder communications across brands and departments
- Provide advanced support for complex cross-system issues, and mentor engineers through documentation, design reviews, and hands on collaboration
- Atlassian Cloud (Jira, JSM, Confluence, automation, APIs, Forge and Connect apps)
- Okta (hub-and-spoke, Org2
Org, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, Okta Workflows) - Integration and automation tooling (Tines, native APIs and webhooks, AI and LLM tooling)
- Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, Jamf, and Workspace ONE
- SaaS integration via REST APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms
- Okta and Google Workspace administration
- Ability to operate across multiple domains without rigid specialization
- Demonstrated history of project and technical lead ownership
- Sound technical judgment on platform fit and system-of-record decisions
- Familiarity with and a desire to leverage AI and LLM tooling
- Strong communication and documentation habits across all levels of management
- 7+ years in enterprise IT, systems engineering, or a related role supporting large-scale environments
- 5+ years of hands-on Atlassian Cloud administration in production environments
- 3+ years with Okta or a comparable IAM platform, plus Google Workspace, Slack, or similar enterprise SaaS
- 5+ years of project management experience, including technical ownership of migrations or consolidations
- Demonstrated experience building integrations between SaaS platforms and delivering independently across ambiguous problem spaces
