Your impact

The Hardware Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of all hardware assets within the organization. This includes procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware assets. The role ensures that hardware assets are managed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Tracking and Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware assets, including computers, servers, networking equipment, and peripherals.
  • Procurement: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers in the procurement cycle ensuring compliance and records are provided within company standards.
  • Deployment: Oversee the deployment and installation of hardware assets, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintenance: Schedule and manage regular maintenance and updates for hardware assets to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Disposal: Manage the disposal of obsolete or damaged hardware assets in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure all hardware assets comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on hardware asset status, usage, and lifecycle management.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with hardware vendors and service providers.
  • Support: Provide technical support and guidance to staff regarding hardware asset usage and management.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hardware asset management or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
    • Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in IT Asset Management (CITAM) or similar.
  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations related to hardware disposal.
Working Conditions
  • Office environment with occasional travel to other company locations or vendor sites.
  • May require lifting and moving of hardware equipment.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
