Granite Ridge (GRNT) is a publicly traded company formed from the consolidation of the first three Grey Rock funds.
Grey Rock Investment Partners is searching for an IT Manager to join our team. As the IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our operations team. You will manage relationships with third-party vendors, oversee network and cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, business application support, hardware management and ensure systems are optimized for performance, cost-efficiency, and security. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of the trade-offs between performance, cost, and scope of Information Technology.
This role is in office five days per week at our office in Dallas and reports to our Chief of Staff.
- MSP Service Desk oversight -- follow up on critical system issues and provide team prompt communication on resolutions
- Function as in-house first line of defense on system and application troubleshooting.
- Ensure our MSP relationship is optimized for cost, service, quality and performance.
- Handle all IT General Controls requests
- Manage application and data access rights and document user access reviews.
- Cyber security management - work with 3rd parties for penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and other relevant cybersecurity topics.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) plans and ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies and IT general controls.
- Manage hardware procurement, including identifying needs and evaluating cost-effective solutions (ex. laptops, printers, monitors, etc.).
- Procure new devices and manage existing device life cycles.
- Ensure IT resources meet needs across departments (ex. Engineering, Accounting, Etc.)
- Manage data/service subscriptions and application vendors to maximize business value including recommendation of new business applications as needed
- Work on continuous improvement of cloud-based platform performance and user experience with MSP including multi-terabyte databases and business applications that interact with complex data.
- 5+ years in IT roles
- Experience managing 3rd party resources and Managed Service Providers
- Experience in ITGC for a SOX compliant company preferred. Please note in your application if you have this experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to self-start and manage projects independently
