Mission Hires is seeking a strategic Director of Federal Business Systems to own the architecture, roadmap, and performance of systems supporting federal accounting and operations. This leader will ensure ERP and connected platforms meet government contracting requirements for auditability, segregation of duties, data integrity, and compliance while leading a team of business systems analysts and integration developers.
Responsibilities:- Own the strategy, architecture, and multi-year roadmap for federal business systems, including ERP, billing, timekeeping, and procurement platforms.
- Ensure financial and operational systems support DCAA compliance, complete audit trails, segregation of duties, and strong data integrity.
- Lead ERP implementation, optimization, configuration, and ongoing governance for government contracting requirements.
- Oversee system controls, user access management, and data quality across financial systems.
- Direct the architecture and delivery of integrations among ERP, EDI, manufacturing, pharmacy, and related enterprise systems.
- Partner with Finance, IT, Security, and Compliance teams to align systems capabilities with federal growth and regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate with Security and Compliance on NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements when federal data is involved.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business systems analysts and integration developers.
- Manage system vendors, evaluate and select new platforms, and own the business systems budget.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of business systems experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with government-compliant ERP platforms, such as Deltek Costpoint.
- Strong understanding of FAR and DCAA system requirements, financial system controls, auditability, and segregation of duties.
- Demonstrated experience owning enterprise integration architecture across multiple business systems.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, IT, Security, Compliance, and operational stakeholders.
- Strong people leadership, vendor management, systems planning, and budget ownership capabilities.
- Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirements is preferred.
- Pharmaceutical or manufacturing systems experience is preferred.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
