ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :- Installs, configures, and maintains network hardware, software, and Azure components including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, Virtual WAN (VWAN), firmware updates, and cabling.
- Performs routine backups, system updates, patching, and upgrades to maintain network integrity and security.
- Monitors network performance, system alerts, and security logs to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Diagnoses and resolves network problems when alerted by users or automated monitoring systems.
- Maintains accurate records of network configurations, procedures, and activities for compliance and troubleshooting purpose
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms (Catalyst, Nexus)
- Configuration and support of Cisco and/or Juniper routers and switches
- Network monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, Net Flow, Wireshark)
- Firewall administration (e.g., Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA)
- Load balancer configuration and troubleshooting (F5 LTM/GTM)
- Wireless networking (e.g., Cisco, HP/Aruba)
- IP addressing and protocols: IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
- Network change and incident management processes
- Familiarity with SD-WAN and basic cloud networking concepts (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Network monitoring and packet analysis tools (Solar Winds, Wireshark, Net Flow)
