Salesforce Administrator

I’m supporting a fast-growing technology company in Dallas that is looking to add a Junior Salesforce Administrator to its internal systems team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has already spent their first 2-3 years working with Salesforce, has a solid grasp of the fundamentals, and now wants an environment where they can develop into a more technical Salesforce professional.

You do not need to be a Salesforce Developer today.

The team is deliberately looking for someone who can handle the core day-to-day administration work, while learning more technical Salesforce skills from experienced people around them.

You’ll work closely with the Salesforce / Systems Manager and wider systems team, taking ownership of the more day-to-day Salesforce requirements across the business.

• Creating and updating fields, objects and page layouts
• Building and maintaining validation rules
• User administration, permissions and access
• Supporting basic Flow and automation requirements
• Troubleshooting user issues and handling first-line Salesforce support
• Data quality and general Salesforce housekeeping
• Helping document processes and system changes
• Working with business users to understand straightforward system requirements
• Supporting testing and releases
• Gradually taking on more technical Salesforce work as your experience develops

The ideal person will probably have around 1–3 years of Salesforce experience in an Administrator, Systems Analyst, CRM Analyst or similar role.

You don’t need to know everything.

More important is that you have a good foundation in Salesforce and genuinely want to keep learning.

Experience with some of the following would be useful:

• Salesforce configuration and administration
• Fields, objects, page layouts and record types
• Flow / automation
• Profiles, Permission Sets and user access
• Reports and dashboards
• Data management
• Troubleshooting and user support

Any exposure to Apex, integrations, APIs or scripting would be a bonus, but absolutely isn’t essential.

The biggest attraction here is the development opportunity.

You’d be joining a growing internal Salesforce team with experienced technical people around you, rather than being dropped into an environment where you’re expected to figure everything out alone.

The intention is to give this person a strong Salesforce foundation, then gradually expose them to more advanced automation, integrations and development work as they progress.
