Underwriter – Casualty – Excess – Dallas**### About Our Client Our client is a well-established leader in the insurance industry, renowned for their commitment to excellence and innovation in underwriting solutions. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Underwriter to join their thriving Casualty Excess team based in Dallas.### Role & Responsibilities
* Assess and evaluate insurance applications to determine insurance risks, insurance premiums and extent of insurance coverage according to company policies.
* Collaborate with retail brokers to understand client needs and develop appropriate insurance solutions.
* Manage a mid-market portfolio, specifically focusing on the US domestic market with accounts ranging from $50k to $500k, $250K on average
* Operate within the admitted market segments, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and internal policies.
* Handle the structuring of excess insurance layers to provide additional limits over primary policies.### Key Skills
* Proven experience as an Underwriter with a special focus on casualty and excess insurance.
* Strong knowledge and experience dealing with retail brokers and mid-market US domestic accounts.
* Expert understanding of admitted insurance practices and regulatory environments.
* Capability to effectively structure and underwrite excess insurance layers.
* Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

This is a permanent position offering a significant opportunity to advance in a professional insurance environment.

The role reports into the Dallas office 4x per week if located within 50 miles, otherwise is able to sit remotely in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas or Louisiana.
