Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

My client is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to independently manage Texas Workers’ Compensation indemnity claims from first notice of loss through resolution. This role offers strong autonomy, meaningful stakeholder interaction, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on injured workers and employer clients. A hybrid schedule may be available for the right candidate, though reliable in-office presence is required.

• Handle the full lifecycle of loss-time Texas Workers’ Compensation claims
• Investigate coverage and compensability, evaluate exposure, and set accurate reserves
• Authorize and issue benefit payments in compliance with Texas statutes and guidelines
• Prepare clear, well-documented claim reports and maintain accurate file documentation
• Communicate professionally with claimants, employers, attorneys, and medical providers
• Guide employers and injured workers through the claims process with a customer-focused approach
• Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution

• 3–5+ years handling Workers’ Compensation claims, ideally Texas indemnity claims
• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment and professionalism
