TX Workers Compensation Claims Supervisor - Temp Job Summary

A dedicated and experienced Workers Compensation Claims Supervisor (Temporary) is needed to manage a team of claims adjusters in Texas. Responsibilities include ensuring the timely and accurate handling of claims in compliance with state regulations and company standards. The role requires excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills along with an in-depth knowledge of Texas workers' compensation claims processes. This temporary position is designed to support the organization during peak workloads or specific projects.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and guide a team of claims adjusters handling Texas workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with all state laws, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to workers' compensation claims.
  • Review claims, including complex and high-exposure cases, for accurate coverage determination, liability decisions, and timely resolution.
  • Train, mentor, and coach claims team members to enhance professional development and claims management efficiency.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to monitor team productivity and service quality.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as legal, risk management, and medical teams, to support effective claims resolutions.
  • Coordinate investigations and negotiate settlements to achieve cost-effective and fair outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on claims trends, team performance, and cost analysis for senior management.
  • Handle escalated complaints, disputes, or concerns professionally and promptly.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in workers' compensation claims handling, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Texas workers' compensation statutes, regulations, and claims processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities with experience in coaching and mentoring employees.
  • Competence in claims management systems, relevant tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Temporary availability for the duration of the assignment with flexible scheduling as required.
