What We Do

Senior Title Underwriter (Hybrid - Texas Markets)

Houston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, or Austin

Why This Role Stands Out

This is not a production-only underwriting role. You'll operate as a trusted authority - advising on complex transactions, influencing deal structure, and partnering directly with agents and internal teams to solve nuanced title challenges. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions within delegated authority while working on a diverse portfolio of real estate transactions across major Texas markets.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a senior underwriting resource for agents, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze and underwrite complex residential and commercial title transactions
  • Provide clear, practical guidance on title issues, curative matters, and risk mitigation
  • Exercise sound judgment to approve, modify, or decline risks within authority limits
  • Partner with escrow, sales, and operations teams to keep transactions moving efficiently
  • Interpret and apply underwriting guidelines while contributing to their evolution
  • Support high-value and time-sensitive deals with responsiveness and precision
  • Act as a problem-solver on challenging files-bringing creative, business-minded solutions
What You Bring
  • 5-7+ years of title underwriting experience with increasing complexity
  • Strong working knowledge of real estate law, title insurance, and settlement practices
  • Proven ability to handle complex or high-liability transactions confidently
  • Comfort operating with autonomy and making risk-based decisions
  • Strong communication skills-you can translate technical title issues into clear guidance
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without slowing down deals
What Sets You Apart
  • Experience supporting multiple markets or high-volume agents
  • Strong negotiation and problem-resolution skills on difficult title matters
  • Ability to balance risk management with business impact
  • A reputation as a "go-to" resource others rely on for tough files
Work Environment & Flexibility
  • Hybrid role with flexibility across Houston, San Antonio, DFW, or Austin
  • High-impact position with visibility across teams and leadership
  • Opportunity to work on a broad mix of transactions-not siloed or repetitive work
Why Join Us
  • Work with experienced professionals on meaningful, complex deals
  • Be empowered to make decisions-not just follow checklists
  • Join a team that values expertise, responsiveness, and practical problem-solving
