Paralegal

Boutique Dallas law firm Caldwell, Bennett, Thomas, Toraason & Mead, PLLC, focusing on probate, trust, and guardianship litigation, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have litigation and probate experience. The candidate will be comfortable managing multiple cases. The candidate should feel comfortable in an energetic, fast-paced environment and be able to take initiative in completing tasks.

• Drafting pleadings/court filings, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence
• Conferencing with clients and court staff
• Locating and interviewing witnesses
• Fact‑gathering and information retrieval
• Analyzing and summarizing documents
• Preparing for and assisting at trial

• Minimum of two years of applicable experience, preferably in probate, trust, and guardianship litigation
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Paralegal certificate preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong legal and professional work ethic
• Research skills, preferably familiarity with Westlaw
• Experience at keeping time, preferably familiarity with Clio
• Experience with Microsoft products; experience with e‑filing software; familiarity with document management platform, preferably Net Docs
• Organizational skills, high level of productivity, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Skilled at managing shifting priorities, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude

This position is full-time and in‑person Monday-Friday.

Salary is based on experience.

Located in Dallas (635 and the Tollway).
