Role OverviewThis long-term contract Corporate Paralegal position is based onsite in North Dallas and offers an immediate start. You will support a busy corporate legal department handling capital recovery, litigation support, regulatory matters, and legal operations.
This role is ideal for a proactive paralegal who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute substantively from day one.
Key Responsibilities Capital Recovery & Claims Support- Review case files (photos, reports, documentation) to make initial fault determinations
- Draft and send demand letters to at-fault parties
- Manage correspondence and settlement discussions under attorney supervision
- Intake and process recovery checks
- Research rules and regulations across operating states
- Prepare and review discovery and document productions
- Support case management and litigation tracking
- Coordinate with outside counsel on active matters
- Assist with regulatory filings and compliance matters
- Serve as Notary Public (or obtain within 90 days)
- Receive, log, and process incoming legal mail
- Coordinate wet‑signature execution of documents
- Process land acquisition and legal documentation
- Track outside counsel fees and litigation expenses
- Process legal invoices and generate audit reports
- Maintain organized electronic and physical legal files
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 3+ years paralegal/legal assistant experience
- Strong drafting and professional correspondence skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- 5+ years as a paralegal
- Capital recovery or litigation support experience
- Regulatory compliance exposure
- Telecommunications, construction, or technology industry background
- Experience with case/document management systems
- Notary Public (or willingness to obtain)
- Immediate start
