Lead Senior Attorney - Insurance Defense

Our regional law firm is seeking an experienced attorney who is ready to make a lasting impact, not only in the courtroom, but in the careers of younger attorneys who are eager for strong leadership and mentorship. This is an opportunity for a seasoned attorney with at least 5+ years of insurance defense experience to step into a meaningful role where you will be the cornerstone for the office and younger attorneys.

Our ideal attorney has 5+ years of practice experience, with a significant portion spent at a defense firm handling complex matters, including substantial insurance defense work. We are looking for someone who understands the strategy, pacing, and realities of litigation and someone who knows the general over all game and is confident navigating it.

This attorney will work on complex litigation matters across a variety of practice areas, including construction law, healthcare liability, oil and gas, product liability, trucking and transportation, catastrophic injury, construction defects, premises liability, and insurance coverage.

Beyond your casework, we need a senior attorney who wants to be the cornerstone of the office who leads by example through preparation, professionalism, and work ethic and who is willing to lead through mentorship and hands-on guidance. Our newer attorneys are motivated and capable but need a steady, experienced attorney with real-world insurance defense insight to help shape their development.

The right candidate is a team player who is not afraid of hard work and genuinely wants to try cases. If you are an attorney with strong litigation skills, meaningful insurance defense experience, and aspirations to grow into a supervisory role, trial leadership role, or to help build and expand a practice, this position offers that runway.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney
• Significant experience in insurance defense
• Background in complex litigation
• Experience in a law firm setting
• Licensed and in good standing in Texas
